Antelope Class is led by Mrs Browning and supported by Mr Adlam.
Check back here every couple of weeks for updates about the class and their learning.

September 22nd 2023

We have all enjoyed our first few days back in school. Your children have made a fantastic start to the term – they have returned to school enthusiastic, refreshed and ready to learn.

A brief overview of our learning this term:

The children have been sharing their ideas about our current reading book - Rose Blanche (a story about a young German girl in the midst of the Second World War), and have made lots of thoughtful contributions to our class discussions.

In our Writing lessons we are focusing on letter writing and we will soon be writing a persuasive letter to our local MP about taking care of our local environment.

Our Maths lessons this term begin by revising our knowledge of the number system and place value.

Our Foundation Subject coverage this term is as follows:

Science: Mixtures and separation

Geography: The Alps

DT: Electrical systems

Languages: Spanish

RE: Sikhism

PSHE: Family and relationships

Computing: Online safety and search engines

PE: Golf and Yoga

PE

Please make a note of our PE days so that your child has their PE kit in school when needed:

Monday afternoon: Outdoor PE

Tuesday afternoon: Indoor PE

Please ensure that children have the correct PE kit and suitable footwear for outdoor PE.

Long hair must always be tied back and jewellery (except small stud earrings) is not allowed school.
