Rapid Improvement in Outcomes

Outcomes at St Martin’s have improved rapidly and significantly over the past two years. At the end of Key Stage 2, the proportion of pupils achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics combined has risen from 22% in 2023/24 to 70% in 2025/26—seven percentage points above the national figure. This improvement is reflected across the school, with phonics rising to 84%, Good Level of Development reaching 77% and 44% of pupils achieving full marks in the Multiplication Tables Check. These outcomes demonstrate the sustained impact of strengthened teaching, an ambitious curriculum and carefully targeted support, ensuring that more pupils achieve well and are prepared for the next stage of their education.
